Flint Town United's Summer signing Owen Brain scored two goals on his debut, but Barry Town United took all three points on the North Wales Coast. The visitors took an eighth-minute lead through Elliot Dugan, scoring his first competitive goal for the club. Flint equalised just four minutes later, with Joe Malkin scoring from the penalty spot after Tunde Owolabi's shot was saved by George Ratcliffe.
The home side then took a 2-1 lead after 28 minutes, with Harrison McGahey picking out Harry Dean on the edge of the Barry box. Dean lashed his shot past Ratcliffe, but Flint almost scored a third when Owolabi's shot cannoned off the underside of the bar.
Barry levelled nine minutes after the break, with Brain sending his marker the wrong way before firing across goal and finding the corner of the net. Flint increased the pressure on the Barry goal, but Namory Kane couldn't quite reach a gilt-edged chance at the far post.
For the second week running, Barry's winner came late in the game. Twice in the 88th minute, Callum Sainty was denied on the line by Flint, but Brain was able to steer the ball past the defence to score. Barry are at home to unbeaten Cardiff Met on Saturday (12.30pm kick-off).
